The use of new interactive media has lately become a unique chance to improve intercultural understanding as well as to increase chances of education and political participation of young people worldwide. Solar Net works to take full advantage of these new technical developments by educating young people across the world in the use of new media.
In our projects we encourage young people worldwide to use media to make new friends across the world and to  interactively communicate on a regular basis with them, changing prejudices and stereotypes and motivating each other to take action together.

Forum
As our main communication medium we use a communication board with different forums in which we can write texts, post pictures and videos to communicate with each other.

Reports
Trough reporting with texts, pictures and videos from our daily life we fill our friendships with life. Everyone in the world has a story to tell and we encourage you to tell it the most exciting way.

Media workshop
Through local media workshops in schools we help young learners to gain multimedia skills. We learn how to photograph, film, record audio sounds and how to use graphic- and video-editing programs.

Junior board
In our junior board young learners from different countries work on common tasks each month, that encourage to tell about their life and help gaining multimedia skills at the same time.

Film projects
In common film projects we use our media skills to produce own movies in international teams. One of our most well known projects has been the 2007 produced kids-movie "About those two".
