Social Responsibility

In line with the global demand for a Sustainable Development Solar Net International cooperates with a number of social and educational projects worldwide.
With our international network Solar Net provides a platform to transfer knowledge, human resources and funds between the partners involved in the network. Furthermore this global platform helps to create international awareness for issues of Sustainable Development and helps to give a voice to those ones who often have no voice when it comes to global decision making.

namibia.jpgPrimary School Baumgartsbrunn/ Namibia
The school village of Baumgartsbrunn in the Khomas Highland of Namibia consists of the Primary School Baumgartsbrunn (state primary school) and the Institute for Domestic Science and Agriculture (domestic vocational school for young women). The association of Solar Net International r.a. has been involved with the school village in Baumgartsbrunn for several years namely in the fields of renewable energies and international youth exchange.

vietnam.jpgHành Trang Tri Thức - Future for poor children/ Vietnam 

The project that is run by a Solar Net group in Ho Chi Minh city aims to support the children of those parents who can not afford to send their children to school. Often these children are forced to child labour, face a lot of social problems and have no hope for a better future without any education. Solar Net Vietnam aims to provide these children with free education through volunteer teachers and finds donators for longterm scholarships for these children.

brasil.jpgComunidade Arca de Noé/ Brasil 

The institution of Arca de Noé has the main purpose to provide for poor children, over 18 years old, with the possibility of keep going with studies, to give an orientation to build a decent character, knowing themselves and knowing the value of everybody around them, being more responsible and getting ready for the future, following the basis of love and faith.

mexiko.jpgKinal Antzetik/ Mexico 

Kinal Antzetik is a NGO from Mexico that is mainly dealing the topic of gender equality and social justice. It's main objective it's to transform the discriminating relationship between genders, in search for a social justice, real democracy and women empowerment in indigeneous areas in south Mexico. This is done through workshops of analisys, reflection and capacitation, as well as formuliation of proposals within organized action, of women at a local, communitary and regional level.
