Special award scholar competition "Eine Welt für Alle" 2006




Five namibian and five german girls from the exchangegroup of 2006 did win a special price with their shared book on the topic "Mädchenwelten " (girls worlds) in line with the scholarcompetition "Eine Welt für alle " (one world for everybody).

During the scholartrip to Baumgartsbrunn/ Namibia, that Solar Net International organized for the third time this year, the girlsgroup worked under the supervision of Bettina Freischem and Janusz Hamerski on a Interviewbook. In this book the girls introduce themselves by doing interviews with each other. During their interviews the girls also spoke about the different roles of women in the german and namibian society and furthermore also about difficult topics such as AIDS.

Representative for the whole group, Luise Kutsch and Maike Overmeyer, two students of the Schillergymnasium Münster, will receive the award together with Bettina Freischem on 9 mai from the patron of the competition, the german federal president Horst Köhler, in Berlin.

The lucky winners are Darleen Steenkamp, Ernesta Kamuingona, Selma Hailambo, Lucia Ndongo, Paula Garoes, Maike Overmeyer, Luise Kutsch, Johanna Kappenberg, Caterina Freischem and Lucia Emmerich.
